The protection and preservation of Victoria’s war heritage is about more than the digitisation of our cultural heritage. It also involves connecting the next generation with veterans and ex-service organisations.
Throughought 2017 and 2018, students interested in career pathways or further studies in cultural heritage, museums and history are assisting Museums Australia (Victoria) staff working on the Veterans Heritage Project.
The Workplace Learning Program gives Victorian students the opportunity to hear stories of service first hand, while offering them valuable workplace skills. They will engage in a variety of museum related tasks, depending on their chosen stream: The Curator or The Oral Historian. Read about their experiences below.
